AAS Degree Program
AAS Degree Program
This program is an intermediate multidisciplinary approach to bodywork preparing students to holistically practice massage therapy in a variety of therapeutic environments within the industry. This program developed over 24 years includes the complete 1,000 hour Therapeutic Massage Training Program required for Nebraska licensure, as well as, additional General Education courses required for the accredited Academic Associates Degree.
Students receive a thorough grounding in massage theory and techniques as well as in anatomy, physiology, pathology, and business. Students rapidly complete their 90 credit hour program of study in 12 months and earn as many credit/clock hours—and often more—than do students who pursue a major as part of a traditional college bachelor’s degree program.
MI recognizes the different career goals of our students. Unique to MI, much like a major in a Bachelor’s Degree, it is the opportunity for students to choose additional specialized classes in the area of most interest to the student. Residential and online classes are offered.
