We are pleased to announce that the Myotherapy Institute is now celebrating its 16th year anniversary. The 1,000 hour diploma program and the Associate’s Degree in Massage Therapy program are each licensed by the Nebraska Department of Health. MI has earned a post secondary school operations permit and private college status from the Nebraska Department of Education. It is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology and students who qualify are eligible for federal financial aid. MI is also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation. As an accredited college all MI Continuing Education programs are approved for credit by the National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Today, Nebraska continues to take a lead in the massage therapy field as it requires more pre-licensing requirements than any state in the country. Successful completion of a national certification examination is required for Nebraska licensure and the Myotherapy Institute boasts a very high graduate pass rate on this examination which is well above the national average. There are approximately 2400 massage schools in the USA. The Institute is one of only 30 independent massage schools approved to provide an Associate’s Degree in massage therapy.
