To provide our students' with an experience of true clinical practice, we have developed a teacher supervised, community supported student clinic, Synergy Spa. We have additional practical experience at a local day spa, The Face Place Spa, and onsite seated experiences throughout the community. These hours are provided outside of the basic class schedule occurring during the afternoon and evening hours and on Saturdays.
The Synergy Spa is an important part of our students curriculum. It
helps them learn professionalism and effective listening skills to better
serve their clients. This experience helps to build confidence in the
students as they receive positive feedback from clients. MI students
get the experience needed to take their gifts out into the world to serve
in a caring way.
